The students split into two groups today and each chose 10 states that they thought we should learn. Between the two groups, three were the same, so they have 17 states and capitals to learn instead of 20. They chose: Indiana, Florida, Hawaii, Illinois, New York, Maryland, California, Alaska, Virginia, Rhode Island, Nevada, Texas, Oregon, Tennessee, Idaho, Georgia, and Maine. They will receive a study sheet tomorrow, and the assessment will be given on Wednesday, September 3. If they have lost theirs or would simply like an extra copy, here is a link to print out a new one.
