We took a 5th grade field trip to Angel Mounds yesterday for their annual Native American Days. The trip was for Social Studies, since the students are about to start a unit on Native Americans. We had to have the students split into three groups, and my homeroom was split among the other three homerooms. For this reason, the pictures below include students from the entire 5th grade.
Some of the activities included making their own arrowhead, listening to traditional flute music, making corn husk dolls, watching traditional dances, and learning about crops.
